Meet Our Dentist

Vicky Chang, DDS

Dr. Chang was born and raised in San Francisco, California. She dreamed of being a scientist at a very young age and excelled in Math and Science. She completed her undergraduate studies at University of California, Los Angeles with a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry. She then returned home to the San Francisco Bay Area to begin her career in research at the Taunton Lab at UCSF and the Chen Lab at Stanford. Somewhere along the way, she decided to do a different route and pursued dentistry. She remembered what a difference it made to have her new smile after many years of braces and headgear.

She later enrolled at the renowned University of Southern California, School of Dentistry and earned her DDS degree. While at USC, she gained experience with pediatric dentistry at the Children's Dental Clinic in Los Angeles. She also worked with the special patient population. She then traveled south to sunny San Diego and did a 1 year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency with the US Navy. After several years with the Navy, she spent some time in private practice honing her skills. She is well versed in cosmetic dentistry and in the biomemetic dentistry principles. She is also credentialed in laser dentistry.

In 2020, She attained her fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry which only 6% of general dentists have achieved.

In her spare time away from dentistry, she enjoys singing, spending time at the beach, and spending time with her family and their bunny, Dia.
